A truck contained in the kiln can quickly be removed after firing and the kiln door closed to retain the residual heat. This permits the truck to be unloaded and reloaded with exceptional ease and without being exposed to the heat of the kiln. Alternatively a further truck, preloaded with ware, can quickly be placed into the kiln for firing after the fired truck has been removed and shunted to siding rails. The system is less obtrusive, more economical, more durable and more flexible than alternative systems.

The trucks run on rails supplied with the kiln. The kiln is built of strong angle iron and steel panels housing 150mm of finest quality hot face bricks and fibre back-up insulation with harder bricks used on adjacent surfaces of the kiln and the trucks. Elements are located in the side walls and in the kiln cars. The arched roof is fitted with a manual damper but automatic dampers and other features to meet clients' needs can be incorporated.
